this is my small pond which has 500 baby koi fry I successfully raised last year here are a few pics of the babies
Adorable!
Are koi difficult to breed and raise? I know there are some koi that go for large sums of money.
not paticularly difficult you just need to be dedicated hatching brine shrimp out every day for the first few weeks as the frys food scource we then built a fry room which housed the koi in tanks all filtered cause they can soon get a bacterial infection and you reaslly need to keep on top of the water quality i did loose some and some you have to cull as they are deformed but once you get to like 10 weeks you can sit down and relax a bit with them and let them get on with it..........heres a snap of the fry room we built
You and your hubby are very talented! How long did this project take; to build this and set everything up? Any photos of the inside?Lovely job on the painting as well. No doubt you're very talented

the tanks held only about 500 gallons in total but i had it well overfiltered for a 2000 gallon set up unforyunately the painting didnt weather that well and some of the black started to flake away after a few months I should have sealed it really
