microscope shots

thought I would share a few of life found in my filter set up rotifers without these we would not be able to keeep a tank and pond ecosystem stable i took these from a pice of k1 media out of my biological chamber and found these rotifers under the scope dont know why but it is only letting me upload 2 at a time

and another couple you can see on one of them the head with red light responsive zones they would use as eyes the other shot you can see the gizzard (mouth)top piccentral

Wow! Just Wow. What kind of microscope and camera are you using?

Fantastic shots and information, Jools. I'm guessing these are nitrifying bacteria? Do you know what the scientific classification is?

I'll have a look into the upload issue. The total size may be more than Lefora allows, but I'll look Smile

just a simple microscope i got from lidl foodstores that has an adapteer to connect to the pc they sell them for 39.99 at lidl but the same scope on e bay is nearer 100.00 so if you fancy a go you need to look out for the offer on the website they usually have them this time of year they call them the biolux ng they have a mechanical stage too which allows you to scan the whole slide and scrape
